GameTypes Guide
This page introduces GameTypes from a public server-docs point of view. It focuses on what the feature does in-game, how to get started when you have access, and which commands are useful.
What It Does
Section titled “What It Does”GameTypes helps players find the correct menu for island-style game modes. Use it when you are in a BentoBox world or when you want the server to show the available game type menus.
How Players Use It
Section titled “How Players Use It”Start in-game with /gametype. The sections below explain what GameTypes is for, which commands players can try, and what to expect when your account has access.
Things You Can Do
Section titled “Things You Can Do”- Open or view GameTypes with /gametype.
- Check your own GameTypes progress or settings with /gametype status.
Quick Start
Section titled “Quick Start”- Start with
/gametypeto open or view GameTypes. - Use
/gametype statusto check your current progress, settings, or state. - Use
/gametype infowhen you want the in-game help or a short explanation. - Try
/gametype menuwhen you are ready to use one of the feature actions.
Commands

/gametype | Opens the detected game type menu for the player’s current world. If no BentoBox game type is detected, it opens the GameTypes index. | /gametype |
/gametype menu | Opens the detected menu from the current world, or the GameTypes index from worlds such as wild, spawn, survival, or skylands. | /gametype menu |
/gametype menu <type> | Opens a specific configured menu when world detection is not possible, such as from /wild. | /gametype menu oneblock |
/gametype status | Shows loaded hooks, enabled game types, the current world, and detection state. | /gametype status |
/gametype info | Shows the player-friendly intro, starter command, help command, and docs link. | /gametype info |
/gametype help | Shows only commands available to the sender. Permission nodes are hidden from normal help. | /gametype help |

Good To Know
