Your Next Step and Helpful Hints
Use /next to find something useful to do, and /guidance to choose how often helpful hints appear. Both work with the activities currently available to you. Permissions, events and server settings can affect which activities appear.
Find your next step
Section titled “Find your next step”Open /next, or choose Your next step in /menu. The menu offers three kinds of suggestion:
| Choice | What you can find | | --- | --- | | Continue | An activity already in progress, or a useful step that helps you continue. | | Ready to collect | An earned reward you can review in its own activity. | | Try something | An available activity or introduction to explore. |
Each card explains your progress, the benefit and the next action. Something else shows alternatives; Refresh checks your current situation again. Use /next chat for a text version.
Opening a suggestion shows its details. Claiming a reward, spending tokens or turning on selling still uses the activity’s normal controls. If nothing is waiting, the menu says so.
Choose your hints
Section titled “Choose your hints”Open /guidance, /tips settings, or Helpful hints in AutoSell’s Filters menu.
| Setting | What it changes | | --- | --- | | Normal / Fewer / Off | Choose occasional hints, longer gaps, or no optional hints. | | Chat / Action bar | Choose clickable chat hints or a short message above the hotbar. | | Take a break / Resume hints | Pause hints for an hour by default, then resume when you choose. | | Recent hints | Review topics you received and hide or postpone one. | | Hidden and postponed hints | Restore individual topics, or restore all of them. | | Preview a hint | Try your chosen display style, even while hints are off or paused. |
Chat hints have Later, Hide and Settings controls. Later postpones a topic for an hour by default. Hide keeps it hidden until you restore it. Your choices survive reconnects and server restarts.
Participating activities share the spacing between optional hints. Turning hints off still allows commands, menus, action results and reward confirmations. /tips off controls ScheduledTips specifically. RecordingMode can temporarily quiet connected hints while preserving your saved preferences.
Pin one goal
Section titled “Pin one goal”Choose Pin as my focus beneath a supported unfinished goal in /next, or run /next focus choose. You can follow one objective across the participating activities, including a personal PlayerTodo task.
/next focusshows the saved goal and its controls./next focus hidehides the progress bar while keeping the goal./next focus showenables the bar and briefly displays your progress./next focus clearremoves the pin while preserving the activity’s progress.
The temporary bossbar appears when your goal advances and fades afterward. Your selection survives reconnects and restarts. Completed goals remain available to review until you choose another. Manual tasks still need you to mark them done; pinning a goal never claims its reward.
Learn an activity
Section titled “Learn an activity”Open First steps in /next, or use /next guide. Each introduction has three steps and remembers what you have already completed.
| Guide | What it helps you do |
| --- | --- |
| /next guide autosell | Check protected items, preview a sale and make your first sale. |
| /next guide passport | Open your passport, find a missing stamp and collect one. |
| /next guide journeymap | Review your journey, browse badges and choose a direction. |
| /next guide todo | Write a task, learn its controls and finish it. |
Forage also has a camp, tool and gathering introduction when that activity is enabled. Unavailable activities stay out of the choices.
Earlier successes count. Later, I know this already, Resume guide and the chat view let you learn at your own pace. Opening a guide does not perform the activity for you.
Welcome back
Section titled “Welcome back”One optional focused welcome can point you back to your pinned goal or another activity you have started, with at most one additional ready reward. It does not open a menu automatically.
Use /guidance welcomes off or /guidance welcomes on to save your preference. /next welcome shows a summary whenever you request it, including when optional hints are off.

Clearer menus and messages
Section titled “Clearer menus and messages”Shared chat uses softer straw-colored body text, with distinct highlights for success, warnings and errors. Menu cards use readable labels alongside color to explain the state, what remains, the benefit and the next action.
Connected reward messages distinguish a reward that is earned, ready to claim, received or still being processed. If an action is blocked, the explanation points to a useful next step. Keep any personal support reference when asking staff to check a missing reward.
Recent activity improvements
Section titled “Recent activity improvements”- AutoSell:
