RecordingMode Guide
This page introduces RecordingMode from a public server-docs point of view. It focuses on what the feature does in-game, how to get started when you have access, and which commands are useful.
What It Does
Section titled “What It Does”Recording mode helps players stream or record without private messages, requests, tips, or map visibility getting in the way. Turn it on before going live, then turn it off when you are done.
How Players Use It
Section titled “How Players Use It”Start in-game with /recording. The sections below explain what RecordingMode is for, which commands players can try, and what to expect when your account has access.
Things You Can Do
Section titled “Things You Can Do”- /recording toggles recording mode on or off.
- Per-player preferences persist in shared playerdata.
- /recording set <channel> <on|off> controls what stays enabled while recording.
- Previous server PM/TPA/money option states are captured and restored when recording mode turns off.
- /recording status shows the recording state across multiple colored lines. Preference entries have hover text explaining what on/off means, and players with onembcmi.recordingmode.set can click an entry to toggle it.
- Successful /recording set changes refresh the status panel again after a short delay, so click-to-toggle users immediately see the new state and can toggle it back.
